Let’s look at some concepts and skills that can make a positive impact on your golf game: trunk twist, the grip, and swing sequence.
Trunk Twist
A simple trunk twist exercise is an excellent way to mimic the proper motion made in the golf swing. Let’s take a closer look at the head, arm, shoulder and hip positions through the motions demonstrated in the video below.
How to Make a Grip
The grip for the remaining shots must include connection to the handle by the fingers and the fatty pad under the pinky at the bottom of the palm. The center of the palm should have almost no connection to the handle. This will allow the player to properly rotate and hinge the golf club throughout the swing.

Swing Sequence
The swing sequence is the combination of the trunk twist while making the grip. As the club approaches the top of the backswing, the left arm and the shaft create a 90-degree angle (the right arm and the shaft create a 90-degree angle on the through swing). This habit can easily be created by practicing the proper trunk twist with extended arms. The trunk twist also encourages the player to lead the downswing with the left (or forward arm); notice the left arm position at impact.
