7. Application Assignments

Free

• Find a sand volleyball court at your apartment complex or at a friend’s complex. At least 1 time outside of class, try to play an organized game with friends. Submit: a picture (include details of type of game, location and time) and a 1-paragraph reflection in the Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
• Using an open or unused court, choose a friend to go focus on key aspects of volleyball, such as bumping, spiking, volleying, serving, positioning, etc. Submit: a picture (include details of type of game, location and time) and a 1-paragraph reflection in the Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
• If in season, attend a UGA or local HS volleyball event and log some of the fundamental movements/strategies used. Submit: a picture and reflection in the Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
• Create a Facebook group and organize an event in which you invite friends to play volleyball during the week or on the weekend. Submit: a screenshot of the social media event, picture of play, and a 1-paragraph reflection in the Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)

Charged

• Participate in Intramural or Club volleyball. Submit: a screenshot of team roster in the Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)

Additional course-related opportunities need approval and can be proposed to the instructor.
