7. Application Assignments

Free

  • Go to the IM field at least 1 time outside of class and play soccer with friends or a pickup game. Submit: a picture (include details of type of game, location and time) and a 1­paragraph reflection in Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
  • Using an open field, choose a friend to go focus on some of the key aspects of soccer (dribbling, passing, strategy, etc). Submit: a picture (include details of type of game, location and time) and a 1-paragraph reflection in Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
  • Watch a live game on TV from one of the following leagues: English Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, MLS, or WSL. Choose one team to focus on and highlight what they did well, what they didn’t do well, and what they could improve on. Try and relate this to the concepts covered in this course. Submit: photo evidence and your analysis of the game.
  • Pick your favorite soccer player. Watch them play in a live game OR watch highlights from throughout their career. Submit: a brief summarize the players career. Identify their strengths and weaknesses. What is one aspect of their play you could use to help you improve your own game?
  • Create a Facebook group and organize an event in which you invite friends to play soccer during the week or on the weekend. Submit: a screenshot of the social media event, picture of play, and a 1-paragraph reflection in Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
  • If in season, attend a UGA or local HS soccer event. Submit: a picture and reflection in Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)

Charged

  • Participate in Intramural or Club soccer. Submit: a screenshot of team roster in Application Assignment Dropbox (eLC)
