5. Course Fundamentals
Fundamentals that characterize many forms of contemporary modern dance (remember it is very diverse!) include emphasizing:
- Level variability/floor work: Working in and out of the floor, learning how to fall, how to develop a yield and push relationship with the floor.
- Dynamic range: Creating diversity of one’s use of energy and timing, and force.
